1 3/4 cups  All Purpose flour
2 tsp  Baking Powder
3/4 tsp  salt
1/4   baking soda
1 cup  mashed ripe brow spotted nanners
1/2 cup  milk
1 tsp  vanilla
1/2 cup  solid shorting
1 cup  sugar
2   large eggs
1 cups  pecans (or nuts of choice)
   ** raisins, cinammon (optional)
 

Preheat and oven to 350.

Butter and flour a 9 1/4x 5x 2 1/2 in loaf pan.

whisk the flour, BP,BS and salt in a mixing bowl.

Using your Kitchen Aid mixer begin creaming the shorting then add in the sugar mix well.

Add the eggs one at a time.

Then add in the bananas and vanilla then the dry ingredients.

Transfer to buttered loaf pan.

Place in the pre heated oven and bake about 70 mins.

Cool and then turn out onto a wire rack.

Smear a little butter on a slice of hot banana nut bread.
