After soaking and peeling the todok (Codonopsis Lanceolata), remove the bitterness by soaking the them in salted water; then pat them dry. Slice the todok thinly and pound it flat with a mallet. Mix the red pepper paste with the soy sauce, green onion, garlic, sesame salt and sesame oil. Simmer the mixture until thickened.
